Now we turn the page to a new year and new possibilities for practice, healing and growth. JEANIE MANCHESTER brings more than 30 years of dedicated practice, deep study, teaching and sharing onto the mat and into the world. An ERYT 500-hour certified yoga instructor, Jeanie’s inspiration and influence stems from a strong lineage of celebrated teachers, including Dr. Douglas Brooks, Sally Kempton, Richard Freeman, John Friend, Gabriella Giubilaro, and Paul Muller-Ortega. Jeanie’s own studies include the disciplines of Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara (certified) yoga, Neelakanta Meditation, and the Shri Vidya Goddess Wisdom of South India. With a background that weaves modern dance, yoga, meditation, storytelling and spiritual teaching into her work today, Jeanie brings a sense of true mastery that empowers her students toward physical and spiritual growth. With the Colorado mountains, husband and two children as daily inspiration With humor and joy, Jeanie brings a sense of lightness and depth into her teachings and work.
MIKE COHEN, MA is founder of Kirtan Leader Institute. Since 2010 he has trained and apprenticed hundreds of aspiring and emerging Kirtan Leaders across the globe from total beginners to pros he has guided to create/release Kirtan albums, play at festivals and tour nationally. A life-long musician with 18 years experience developing leaders, Mike created a proven methodology for training and apprenticing Kirtan Leaders that is fun, useful and valuable. Mike has released four critically acclaimed albums, the last two with Grammy Award nominated producer Ben Leinbach (Jai Uttal, Krishna Das, Deva Premal). For well over a decade, Mike has toured North America, offering accessible and potent Kirtan events online, and in yoga studios, healing centers and at yoga/chant festivals. Mike lives in Boulder, CO where he shares Kirtan and trains Kirtan Leaders through his Kirtan Leader Institute.
